Dulili The bushfire crisis in Australia is heartbreaking. I'm a lover of the earth, animals and the unique culture that lived within their forest. “Dulili” is an Aboriginal word that means “together.” And though life won't be as it used to be, TOGETHER we can save and help to recreate a new life...foster a new ecosystem and rebuild. We are interconnected by a red source that flows from our heart through every part of our being. It's what keeps us alive...it's what keeps us TOGETHER. The color red is an immaculate color to demonstrate “Dulili” as the world reaches out to help mighty Australia. For this specific piece, I used molding paste and stencils to create texture; and used both acrylic and gouache paints for color. I also used red metallic foil to highlight the beautiful color that unites us all. “When We Touch” So many things have been said about love. But what about the things that haven’t been said? Or the feelings that you’ve never been able to put into words? Love is its own language; and could possibly have its own letters or vocabulary even. Love is personal for each and every one of us...and when we touch, we speak a love/language that only we understand.
For this abstract piece, I used a unique molding paste that creates a slightly rippling effect and
acrylic paint.
