From light to matter… In my artistic journey I have been a faithful follower of paint as a body, as a matter, plastically seeking ways to represent it. Color is painting and through it, matter comes alive. This is how my research walks between elements that represent the paint, guided by the different environments where I have been that connect my life with my practice. Now that I am in a new environment, I have come across a new chapter in my research. Being a witness through the contemplative observation of the luminous phenomenon of the decomposition of white light in an aqueous body, has turned me into a seer who wishes to communicate and represent this phenomenon in plastic / artistic contexts through various techniques, tools and materials that evoke and reproduce the variables that I observe, such as colors and their shades, the wateriness with the organicity and brightness, the volume with its expansion, the abstraction of a whole to a detail, among others, in order to provide the spectators a visual sensory experience, an experience that awakens the aesthetic delight through the contemplation of colors and volumes, which join together to create different tonalities and project on a two-dimensional support, just as the pictorial matter does. A search that captivates me and that in its composition invites to be lost in the overlapping of tones and the universe that light projects in color, in paint and in spectrums that catch the eye and transport to the imagination.
