Art for arts’ sake is the usual English rendering of a French slogan from the early 19th century. l'art pour l'art', expresses a philosophy that the intrinsic value of art, and the only true art complete in itself is void of justification and therefore free to explore a deeper beauty.

Work not accepted must be picked up @ thegallery8680 between 4.30 - 6.30pm 3.4.2013
Work accepted must be picked up @ thegallery8680 between 4.30 - 6.30pm 4.1.2013
Any work not collected at the designated time will become property of the thegallery8680.
If arrangements are made for a different time a $10 fee will be incurred.
Work must be named and consignment form completed.
List: size, media, description of work, and value you wish to sell inclusive of 30% commission.
An artist statement must also be submitted.
Artist will be notified of their selection status on or before 3.1.2013
To meet gallery requirements work must be Ready-to-hang:
Framed: hanging apparatus attached that supports the weight of the work with secured wire that does not stretch (eventually appearing above the work).
Canvases or board greater than 1”: Edges should be cleaned, painted or finished in a professional manner. 3 dimensional works are also taken into consideration. If artwork includes multiple pieces submit a diagram for hanging, including desired dimensions for spacing etc.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to accept work that does not comply with the above requirements.
$10 total for 1-3 pieces. $5 for each additional piece over 3 and up to 10.
Fee to be paid upon submission of art on 2.25.2013. Checks*, cash and cards accepted. *payable to True North.

All artist, friends and families are invited to celebrate the creativity and talent of our peers at the opening reception at 7:30pm on 3.8.2013. Thank you all for your continued support and the passion you share. I cannot wait to see what you have been creating, 2013 is going to be wonderful!
