I am a mixed media artist. The first stages in my paintings look like an abstract cloud of texture,
until it feels ready to be continued with abstract or lifelike brushwork. I refer to myself as a figurative expressionist. I am fascinated by people, portraits, and the beauty of inner human landscapes
lingering beneath our exterior walls. My works are a visual response to human transformation in a lifetime.

Terry Parshall
THE GIRL: She’s traveling first to war torn Syria where children suffer and die at the behest of world leaders, various country’s presidents, with nothing but foul contempt for innocent children’s lives caught in the body and soul grinding machinery of war. She feels helpless being able to do little to stop the hunger and murder committed despots without souls: Assad, Putin, Trump, et al. She weeps for the loss with forlorn hope despite knowing there is little she can do but pray. Then in a lighter hearted vein she is dangling from a Black Helicopter flown by Men In Black holding onto her ever present swing as she head North by North from Tromso, Norway. A polar bear far below on the frozen North Sea stands in for her Teddy Bear on this adventure. Is she seeking out spies or outer space aliens who are making nefarious plans of world domination on a hidden iceberg base deep beneath the ocean or is she flying further north to the Pole to visit Santa Claus? We may never know.

Lisa A. Chittenden
is an emerging self-taught artist. Her desire to be innovative and think outside the box propels her to constantly explore and push boundaries, choosing unconventional materials in her compositions. From a distance many of her artworks appear to be 2D. It's only when you get closer that you see that she has combined 3D elements, giving depth, character and varying textures. There is a distinct link between the found objects she incorporates with traditional media. Her art illustrates this connectedness and creates new narratives for the viewer to experience.

Helen Faye
I, Helen Faye, am a 17-year-old artist who is planning to pursue art in college. I mostly work in acrylic painting but have recently experimented with more mixed media as well as clay. Most my artwork experiments with emotions and internal struggles through portraiture.

Ruth Wall
My art is nature inspired and falls somewhere on the edge of realism and abstraction. I am drawn to paint plants and, in this season, where watercolors is my medium of choice.
