thegallery8680: will open its doors at 7pm 2.06.2015 for RED i see red i see red isee red celebrating women’s heart week this letter is a call for artists to submit work for this show titled RED this show is open for all medians and must be the artists original interpretation of RED. our desire is to create a space for emerging artists of a visionary nature. whether self-taught or raised within the disciplines of art, we believe that the essence of true artistic expression comes from an earnest desire to say something. we aim to facilitate the artist by promoting the exhibition and sale of art to the general public and the local art population, while hoping to create a hub for an emerging art community. we have had a wonderful response to each of our shows and hope you will join us in creating a new dimension to art in frisco. all artists are encouraged to submit work for consideration of this upcoming exhibit. all exhibits will be curated and not all work submitted will be exhibited; it is our preference to only exhibit original pieces. RED to submit work: email 1>3<5 images in 300dpi digital format, please keep files well organized and manageable. list the size, media and description of works. an artist statement is required with the submission. all submissions should be in jpg files. i do not accept cloud, web pages or drop box submissions. fee submission of 1>3 $12 > 3 $5 for each piece to meet gallery requirements: ready-to-hang with secure wiring. secured wire that does not stretch [eventually appearing above the work]. hanging apparatus attached that supports the weight of the piece. 1“– 2” stretcher frames are acceptable; edges should be cleaned, painted or finished in some manner if not framed. saw hook hanging is not acceptable. if artwork includes multiple pieces, submit a diagram for hanging [including desired dimensions for spacing] work not in appliance with requirements will not be hung timeline of show: submissions due: on or before 5pm friday 9th january 2015 acceptance notification: monday 12th january 2015 delivery between: 4-6pm monday 19th january 2015 artists and guests reception: 7-9pm friday 6th february 2015 pick-up between: 4-6pm monday 23rd february 2015 contact: [email protected] p 214 -585-8175 [please leave voice message if I do not pick up] e [email protected] the gallery is located:@ 8680 main street suite e1 frisco texas 75034. robyn parker feehan creative director the gallery8680 |
