Child’s Play | School Shootings: This piece includes toy guns that are sold to children as cool toys. The dates and cities are places school shootings happened in the 21st Century. Oversize Overkill | Pew Pew: this is a commercial pop style art gun and bullet. It represents how large in life guns are to people, and in fact they are used often in killings in America. Bullets and Blooms: Guns, War, Peace and Love: Both these pieces are about the promotion of peace. For Bullets and blooms the flowers are made from dictionary pages which infers that we should use words and not bullets to resole issues. The main color Pink is often associated with women, who are mothers that do not want to see a bullet end their child’s life. Guns, War, Peace and Love has the one Black Gun mixed in with all the pink and represents the one person it could take to start peace within a conflict. As the wife of a soldier guns represent so many things in our lives, but the end hope is for Peace and Love.
